Vor, Nach, Indes: Initiative and Movement in the Early Liechtenaur Tradition

This class will demonstrate the German concepts of the vor, nach and indes from a perspective of tactical movement and initiative, rather than a more commonly interpreted modality of time. Students will learn how to make tactical decisions for attack and defense based on position, cover, body mechanics and movement to more effectively utilize haupstucke techniques in a free fencing environment as described by Ringeck and Pseudo Peter von Danzig.

Mask, gloves and feder are required, and full free sparring kit is encouraged to get the full value out of this class.
