About The Knight Shop:
“The Knight Shop is one of Europe’s largest retailers and wholesalers of replica militaria and associated giftware. As the UK’s market leaders our impressive portfolio boasts a 1,000 sq. ft. Shop opposite the World Heritage Conwy Castle, a 12,000 sq. ft. Showroom and Distribution Centre, a full time Historical Combat Academy and our very own 13th Century Medieval Tower currently housing the Tower Coffee House.
Our range of facilities and stock make it easy to fulfil most of our clients needs. From simple “in stock” orders to bespoke custom projects and even large corporate orders our manufacturing facilities and partnerships with factories overseas help to make most projects a reality.
Over the last decade we have become trusted suppliers of organisations such as The National Trust, English Heritage, CADW, The National Trust for Scotland, National Museums Service, Environment and Heritage Service, Jorvik, BBC, ITV, History Channel, EA Games and Disney. We also supply many international organisations from all corners of the globe.
We invest heavily in the development of products for the growing Western Martial Arts market and glean specialist knowledge by attending and sponsoring events such as the International Open Championships.
Our growing number of staff have an avid interest in the products we manufacture, retails and use. If you require specialist knowledge on any of our products our team are more than happy to help.
The Knight Shop was founded as Knights Gone By way back in 1999. It started life as a small gift shop specialising in historical giftware on the ground floor of one of Conwy’s many medieval towers. Excellent customer service and growing demand for our products led to the purchase of the neighbouring Vardre Hall where our retails store is currently located – the medieval tower becoming our suit of armour showroom.
After producing our first mail order catalogue in 2004 we purchased our first warehouse as a base of operation. Since then the business has grown rapidly – our present warehouse being the 3rd we have moved to in the last few years. We heavily invested in our internet presence in 2007 and as a consequence became a truly international company with a global client base.”
