We all hear about long point (or as us German types call it, Langort). We first see this word mentioned in Ms. I.33, and then repeatedly, over and over again. Liechtenauer’s system uses langort as one of the for basic wards in GNM 2337a (13v-48v) (most know it by its improper name Codex Dobringer). From this we know it’s important. We know we are supposed to cut to long point. We know we are supposed to fight to and from long point, yet why is it our sword points seem to never stay online?
